What is Your Woke IQ?

True or False

  • 1. The LGBTQ+ movement is about tolerance and acceptance of homosexuality.

    FALSE

The LGBTQ+ movement is mostly about the “Q,” which stands for “queer.”  We used to use the word “queer” as a synonym for “gay,” but that is incorrect.

Queer Theory believes that gender is fluid and has no biological basis.  In fact, saying gender is based on biology is a false construct promulgated to oppress marginalized sexuality groups.   The Queer Theorists see gender as a political power struggle, and actively oppose the idea that gender is based on biology.  Science itself is called into question.

LGBTQ is not a homogenous group.  The active promotion of transgender ideology is discriminatory against gay people, as many children who are encouraged to “explore” their gender “choices” would eventually realize they were gay, not transgender.

  • 2. Critical Race Theory is about teaching people accurate history regarding race relations.

    FALSE

CRT proponents often accuse us of being against teaching history.  The opposite is true.

CRT proponents are actively promoting a false and distorted view of history and want us to believe that white people, America and all our institutions (especially capitalism itself) are racist and must be overthrown.

  • 3. The purpose of Social-emotional Learning (SEL) is to provide mental health help to students and character development.

    FALSE

Scholar James Lindsay has called SEL “the practice of psychology on groups of children in uncontrolled, non-therapeutic spaces by non-professionals,” and “broadcast psychological manipulation of children in classrooms.”

Parents have reported SEL lessons presented that promote LGBTQ and CRT propaganda.

SEL takes precious time away from academic learning and is furthering the dumbing down of our education system.

  • 4. “Book banners” are bigots and don’t want books in their schools about LGBTQ topics.

    FALSE

Parents trust and expect schools to have age-appropriate, educationally enriching books in their school libraries and classrooms.  They expect these books will be curated by education experts to enrich their children’s education.

These books are filled with explicit descriptions of sex acts between minors and adults, rape, incest, and a variety of behaviors that parents would find unsuitable for their children.  They also present a dark, unredeemable view of the world that will distort children’s views and impact mental health.

Books in our schools should be considered recommended reading, not simply “available,” as if schools had unlimited resources to provide every published book to students.
